ういざん【初産】

one's first childbirth [birth, confinement]; 〔犬･猫･豚などの〕 a first litter.

●うちの犬は初産で 6 匹の子犬を産んだ. Our dog had six puppies in her first litter.

●妻も 2 人目は初産の時ほどの緊張はないようだ. My wife doesn't seem so worried about the second (child) as she did about the first.
